I don't think guys will so much be at you for posting this, but more for not searching whatsoever. We know that you are new, but at least give some type of effort to look around and see what's out there before making a new thread.

But to answer your question, you can buy lowering springs for a moderate drop, about 1.3 inches all around, or you can buy coilovers to adjust the height to where you want it.

Price ranges for springs are probably $200 plus.

Price ranges for coilovers depending on brand and if you get one's with damping adjustment will range from $500 - to over $1,000

Get springs...I had S Techs on my previous TL and will probably do the same for this TL. I don't care about being slammed or having the ability to adjust dampener settings or height with coilovers, so springs are a relatively inexpensive mod for the biggest bang.

H&R Sport Springs would give a little more of a drop than the Tein S-Tech's for close to the same price.

What is your budget? How much do you want to lower the car? Do you want the suspension to be adjustable? How many miles on your current shocks; current condition of the shocks?

Look through the pics on here, s-tech almost always look lower than cars with HR sport. Typical HR seems to be a finger maybe two at most gap. Stech almost always look like they're touching the upper edge of the tire. I've found those listed measurements are only an estimate and best to not rely on comparisons between manufacturers. Some springs run a range of models and depending on what model and transmission the drop changes. (Or just which one they used as a base)

hey, doesn't need to be 5x the cost. i found my set of megan coils from a local member for $600 picked up and they were in good shape.

just something to think about. some things are worth waiting for.

with springs, they kind'of "stick it to you" with their lowering capability. you install them, and that's it. don't like it? tough shit.

with coils, you can do whatever you want with the height and damper. both of these qualities make for a happier customer and a better stanced vehicle.

plus, with springs, you have to use a compressor to put them on your oem shocks and/or aftermarket shocks. coils are already assembled plug and play and resale value is much better when you trade your car in.

i know you know all of this, just adding my two cents to this thread for whoever else is reading.

245/40/18 instead of 235/45/17...slightly different. But we have the exact same spacers front and rear.

I don't mean to hijack the thread (it's somewhat relevant). With regards to spacers, I have a stock 07 Type S with stock wheels. I'm looking to throw on spacers and drop it most likely on H&R sport springs, or something with less of a drop. Will 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers make the wheels flush with the body? Someone told me 20 front 25 rear but that seems like it'd make the wheels stick out a bit.

The first picture I posted is Steven Bell's car. Type S with the stock wheels and 15 and 20mm spacers on h&r sports.
