KYB GR-2's vs Truhart shocks. Opinions please :)
I just ordered and received Tein S-Tech springs for my 2005 TL, and am now looking at shocks. I was leaning towards the KYB GR-2's, http://www.ebay.com/itm/KYB-4-GR-2-SHOCKS-ACURA-TL-series-04-05-06-07-/310273224574?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2005%7CMake%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL&hash=item483db9af7e&vxp=mtr I have used them before on other cars and liked them, plus they have a lifetime warranty, but I recently came across these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Truhart-Lowering-Performance-Shocks-for-2004-2008-Acura-TL-/290871553138?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2005%7CMake%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL&hash=item43b94bac72&vxp=mtr And I was curious if anyone has any experience or knowledge of the Truhart shocks. Apparently these have a shorter piston/body and I don't necessarily know if that would be better or worse. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Haha. I hear ya, but Im prolly just gonna end up going with the KYB's. I have used them in the past and had good luck with them, and the ride quality is quite good. I guess I was just curious if anyone knew anything about these Truhart brand shocks as I have never come across them before.

I just recently got the same springs, Im going to go with Truhart. KYB dosent recomend using there shocks with lowering springs. I was looking at them also, Koni is the best way to go.
But by the time you spend the money on a full set of koni's you could have got a set of F&F coilovers or Tein Basic.
Also, you cant use Truhart shocks with OEM springs, called Truhart. They also said to use there shocks your springs need a min. 1 inch drop.
hope this helps !

how did those Truhart shocks work out? I would match these with S-tech springs (i think).. Cheap way out if it works. Anything has got to be better than aspec springs and oem shocks. Too much body movement.

On 2nd thought, s-tech may be too slammed up front. I may have to get coilovers.

I had gr2's on my tsx with s-tech springs and it rode like absolute shit. Also the travel was to long on the gr2 and it ended up ripping through the top mount and slamming the struts into my hood. It was an awful set up in my eyes. I then bought some koni yellows mad the car rode awesome. Save your money and get the koni's

I would like to see a pic of the strut tower slammed into your hood. Not that I am doubting you... but that is a major statement. It would be 1 of a kind.

Not to revive and old thread here guys, but I am want to lower my TL and cant spend the $600+ for F&F or other coloivers or Koni Yellows. What is the consensus of these Truhart Sport Shocks paired with lowering springs?

Apparently, my bags are exactly the same as the coilovers, except I have a bag where the spring would be. With that being said, I'm sure the shocks are similar; therefore, I can let you know how they ride.
