Kumho tires - you get what you pay for

I have 20,000 miles on my Esta ASX tires and they are about shot.
Treadlife sucks. Otherwise great tire.

BTW, I got 30,000 out of the OEM Bridgestones. The Kuhmo rides and handles better, but I'm going with Michelin Pilot tires from Costco the next time around.

the Esta Asx lasted me about 15-17k, so i got Michelin Piolt Exalto a/s eventhough its an H rated tire it carries a 45,000 mile warrenty and the tires ride so nicely!

FWIW, I put Avon A/S M550 on my 2005 TL 6MT and they have been great so far for ~4K miles. Big improvement in dry/wet/snow/ice over the EL42 (I only got 21K on the OEM Bridgestone's).

26K miles and still going strong

I installed ECSTA ASX 245/45R17's in Jan 2006 and have put 26K miles on them. They are noisy but still have plenty of tread left.

It's amazing how many entries in Acurazine forum someone asks for tire recommendations but adds "they only have $300-400 to spend."
I have always been a fan of the Michelin Pilot A/S (or similar in past years), that do cost more. They have always lasted me 40-60,000 miles, and in complete safety with confidence.
I did waver once and purchased Sumitomo's for my old '01 CL Type S, and within 20,000 miles they were shredding, and had a bubble on one...just ready to blow out.
The TL is a fantastic car that deserves great tires!
By the way, I went from 235/45/17's to 245/40/17's 9,000 miles ago, which are safe to use with the stock rims. They handle much better, and boy, the LOOK is awesome. Like driving a slot car

side by side with the three most pop tire on acurazine while noone is saying the khumos are top notch you cant beat what you get for the price just like the tl inho dont get my wrong i LOVE thw tl but when you compare it to some other luxuary cars you come to the same solution its not the best out there but you cant beat what you get for the price.

notice they are the only ones with tread life warrenty. but i belive how long your tires last is 50% tire 9%the roads you drive on 40% how well you take car of them 1% pissed off chicks
