Arrow Koni Yellow vs Neuspeed/Koni Yellow Super Cup Kit

Can someone explain the difference between the following 2 part numbers which cover the koni yellows pretty much for the 7th Generation Accord, 3rd Generation TL, and all TSX's

How would the valving differ?

The SP3 - 5 Height Perches
Left: 8041 1322LSP3
Right: 8041 1322RSP3
Rear: 8041 1329SP3

The Sport - 3 Height Perches
Left: 8041 1322LSport
Right: 8041 1322RSport
Rear: 8041 1329Sport

Option 1
Neuspeed/Koni Supercup Kit
$600 Shipped (Comes w. Springs )
Application (according to neuspeed.com): 7th gen accord 2/4 door & tsx
Fits the 3rd gen tl (cuz am telling you it does ) no really it does
Supercup Kit: http://neuspeed.com/products/product...port&p_id=1934

Option 2
Koni Yellows
$60O-$620 Shipped (Struts Only)
Application (according to koni's website): 7th gen accord 2/4 door, 3rd gen tl & tsx
Accord: http://www.koni-na.com/cat_search.?m...=0&submit.y=16
TL: http://www.koni-na.com/cat_search.?m...37&submit.y=12

SP3 has 20 mm shorter rods and slightly firmer valving than Sport.

The Sport front shocks only have 2-height setting, not 3.

Found some more info:

"The NEUSPEED/Koni shocks also feature an adjustable spring perch to level the car (5 machined grooves on the shock body for 5 positions of adjustment) - the most desirable handling position, as well as, a 20mm shorter droop length for use with lowering springs."

Another one:

"SP3's are more commonly known as "Neuspeed edition" Koni Sports.

For normal lowering springs (vs adjustable coilover sleeves) the 5 perches are very handy for fine tuning your ride height compared to the normal Koni Sports' 3 perches. The valving of the shocks is the same."

I have Option 1 - which are the SP3 Koni Shocks... but I threw out the nuespeed springs and matted them with some Eibach Pro Kit Springs...

I've had them for over 2 years now... no problems...

Go for it Al...

I had both Sport and SP3 on the TL and I think SP3 shocks were a little better in ride quality and damping.

Neuspeed springs for Accord V6 also fit the TL.

If you're looking for performance, the Sports will give you all you could ever want on the street. I would feel more than comfortable taking them on a roadcourse. They're a true high performance shock and won't lose their composure. They dampen well but don't get harsh until you hit the upper 3/4 adjustment.

now that is what I like to hear, I am currently running the neuspeed sport springs (red) for the accord v6, and have nothing but good things to say, but I feel that 1.75" drop is killing my stock shocks shortly but surely

Ok so it won't be crazy if I do SP3's up front and leave the rears stock for a while?
I'm on H&R sports and the front def needs to go lower!

oh I dunno about keeping the stocks in the rear... I mean it could be done... but it will shorten the rear shocks life further...

Quick question - I have a set of the Comptech springs (1" drop supposeably) that I got here cheap from Excelerate, I've read that the Comptech seem to sag a little more in the rear than in front. If I was to get the Neuspeed kit for $600 and just resell the race springs, should I drop the front spring perch down 1 on the Koni's to even out the drop? I'm not looking to get more than a 1"-1.2" drop. I'd prefer not to have to buy a camber kit and I don't want the car to ride to harsh so I went with 18s. Any advice is appreciated

i really want to purchase the cup kit, however, neuspeed did not allow me to ship to a difference place than my billing address (i'm from canada). i'm trying to ship it to niagara falls (or buffalo) and picking it up from there.
is there any fellow TLer help me out here??

I wish I could help but I live in NYC... a really long drive aways...

ps. neuspeed isn't the only place that sells it... see if you can find an authorized dealer in your area or country for that matter

What the least amount of drop one can get out of the Neuspeed/Koni Supercup Kit. Would it be 20mm / .787"?

not too sure what the least drop is since the supercup kit comes with race springs which are themselves alone a 2" drop on stock shocks... on the top perches I've never seen anyone install the stock springs in order to see if there is a drop... you know what I mean?

Can you use them with the stock springs to lower the car 20mm at a time?

shocks purchased individually = $625 shipped last time I checked
supercup kit = $600

why buy them individually when you can just buy the kit

oh and you can run them with stock springs and slightly drop then when you are done experimenting... post results here... then swap the springs for something like h&r sports

I could not understand this myself when I found the site. They include the springs AND charge less money. Can't quite figure out their motivation there but who am I to complain, even If I can't find someone to buy the springs, its still cheaper.

^ my point exactly... not to mention that it isn't bad having some race springs lying around just incase you one day decide to go wheel tucking

I initially was going to buy the kit... till enigmaos got me both rears for $100...
