Koni Orange

Just got my koni orange shocks in the mail. The fronts are labeled right and left. The left one has a bracket welded at the bottom and the right one does not. Is this normal? Also they did not come with any instructions.

Do the stock shocks have the same bracket configuration?

There's nothing special about their installation. Stock shocks dont come with instructions either.

I don't believe the stock shocks have any brackets. I just find it weird that only the left shock has a bracket and the other doesn't.

I *think* Koni uses the same part number for the Accord for global markets. So maybe in some countries, the Accord headlight leveling bracket mounts to the left shock? In the US, the Accord morphs into the USDM Accord, TL, and TSX.

BROlando beat me to it! They're used across multiple applications (Accord/TL/TSX), so if there's no bracket on your OE strut, then that bracket applies to a vehicle that is not yours. As long as you have part number 8050-1059L for the front left, 8050-1059R for the front right, and 8050-1056 for the rears, you should be good to go!

Koni may have an install guide for you if you sent them an email, but depending on how mechanically inclined you are, you may be better off at a shop for something like this.

Good luck and happy modding!

Thanks for the replys. Im glad they didnt send me the wrong shocks. As far ad the install, im having my mechanic do it. I just like looking at the instructions myself to make sure I have everyrhing needed.
