Katanas or Racing Harts
i just put some new fronts on and while I was at the shop I noticed they sold a lot of katana rims that were knockoffs of the racing hart rims like instead of the racing hart m6 they had the katan k6 or something similar to it. I was wondering are these rims any good

theyre all right for the money. but i'm not into the whole knockoff thing.
you should check to see the method of construction for racing harts that you like. some of the RH are forged or cast alloy.
the katanas are cast alloys. there's no guarantee on the quality of construction...
you can save a lot of money but i'd rather pay for originals if only for the idea of paying the rightful owners of that wheel design...

It all boils down to " you pay for what you get" theory. The Katana's are a nice wheel, but there is no comparison to the quality & weight of the RH's. $$$ vs. Quality/Looks...the never ending dilemna.

Three Wheelin'
Cheap isn't necessarily bad here.
You can absolutely trash on your Katanas.
Finish and Craftsmanship won't be as nice,
but they'll hold up... and you can replace
one for almost nothing.
You won't want to treat Racing Harts the same
way. They will bend and it's much more of a loss.
But if you're planning on getting 19's then don't
even look at the Katanas... max of 45 offset.
