Just rotated Pirellis now alignment off??

Hey guys,

With 5000 miles I just did my first front to back tire rotation. Now I notice that it pulls to the right. Could this be of rear tire wear because of my Tein SS? Or do I need another alignment??

it might be that because of your teins that the clamber had a bit more wear on the rears. This may be causing the pulling when you rotated the tires.

yeah when I first put the teins on I had an alignment and they said that the rear was still within specs but the next time i would need to replace them. so if I replace them will that fix the problem or what?? or should I just rotate the tires back to the rear???

Did you check to see if your tires are wearing evenly across the tire? If they are, then it's probably your suspension causing problems.

So its not the alignment...

...well i took it to my alignment shop and they diagnosed it as radial pull. What can I do. Should I try switching the front tires out side to side?

This is what I was going to say. A pull will not majically appear from rotating the tires unless the tires are causing the pull. And the tire wear is not going to cause a pull, just a bad or underinflated tire.

If you swap the tires side to side, and the pull switches too, then you know it is a tire issue. But you already kind of figured that out by rotating front to back. But be careful, if the tires are directional you may not get a reliable from a right to left swap.

If the tire is causing the issue (and I don't see how it would not be the tires here) then it is a defective tire and Pirelli needs to give you a new one.

On the contrary. His car was not pulling before the rotation, and if the tires are wearing even then those are two solid indicators that the alignment and the suspension is not the issue. I am really leaning toward a defective tire.

Thanks Marcus! Now how do I go about getting a new tire? Do I have to contact Pirelli or go back to the shop where I got them?

Go back to the shop where you got them. They will probably want to check it out. Bring your invoice from when you got them just to be safe in case they need it. Hopefully you can get a new tire without too much hassle. Either way, having them look at it is the best first course of action.
