Thanks. So it sounds like the red boots were the ones with the tearing issue and the newer "bellow" style black boots that SPC is now using are the fix?

Anyone using the 67095 with the black boots? Any tearing issues with the black boots?

When I bought the SPCs, the came with the black boots, but I still replaced the boots with OEM to ensure they wouldn't tear.

Yeah, I think there's been some miscommunication about which boots were tearing. I've been told by an SPC vendor that the newer "bellow" style black boots are the answer to the tearing (the old red boots).

I read the other thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/rear-spc-camber-diy-how-fix-dust-boot-886608/#post14457194

but I question whether or not it's necessary to do the OEM boot replacement since SPC has now updated the boots...

The OEM Boots and Circlips can be had for $10 plus shipping. I would trust the OEM boots over the SPC.

Do you have any proof that the newer black boots have every cracked/split? I've only seen reports of the red boots cracking/splitting?

No, I was just saying I would trust OEM over SPC. For $10, its more piece of mind.
