Improving suspension?

New 05' TL owner with 6MT. After loving the tighter suspension on my 02' RSX Type S, what can be done to stiffen the suspension a bit on the TL? i have noticed aftermarket rear sway bars and shocks. I dont want to void my warranty, but what can be done to enhance a bit within a reasonable price range?

Get the A-spec suspension and Comptech RSB. A search will reveal multiple users with reviews. I got it and love it. I also added A-spec black chrome wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 245-40 18 tires. The TL is the bomb now.

Does installing the Aspec suspension void the factory warranty?

No, it's made by Acura specifically for the TL.

Exactly...and the CT RSB doesn't void it either, as CT is made by Honda.

Your only option is A-Spec or a dealer that warranties Comptech stuff if you don't want to void the warranty.

Not quite...Comptech is not made by Honda, but a lot of Honda/Acura dealers do warranty it.

You will not void your warranty by getting it installed unless it fails, and causes damage to your suspension. However, being that it is just a rear sway bar, there is not much that can actually fail.

I've got both the TL 6MT and the RSX Type S. I just put new Adjustable Neuspeed/Koni Sports on both cars and WOW, what a difference. I'm running Goldline springs on both as well.

The shocks are firmer, but I have them set half way between soft and firm (for spirited driving). You can soften them by turning a dial on the top of the shock. But the only way to get to them is to remove the strut bar up front and the seat in the back.

The ride is very nice, these shocks are great. I highly recommend them.

False. Comptech is definitely not made by Honda. Comptech is an independent aftermarket parts builder/retailer. Some dealerships install and warranty their parts, but they also do that for other brands of parts. Some dealerships look more kindly upon Comptech parts, however, because they are a reputable tuner of Honda and Acura vehicles.

But when it comes down to it, Comptech parts can and will void your warranty (at least on the things affected by those parts).

Ok, that's 2 people who have mentioned that I was wrong about CT being made by Honda...guess one wasn't enough...in fact, after the first one, I checked their website to be sure, and it's true...silly me, listening to and believing the service rep at the dealer...wonder what that means about his statement that CT parts installed by them won't void my warranty if they fail and cause damage...of course, mine were installed by me, so I guess that's irrelevant anyway...
