Improved suspension on the 2008 TL?

Hi All,
I have a 2006 Acura TL and have been making trips to the dealer to get rid of Internal rattles.

In the most recent trip, I got a loaner vehicle from the Acura dealership. This is a 2008 model hardly done 900 miles.

I felt the suspension and drive very different from my vehicle. In the 2006 I can feel each and every bumb on the road and the steering is very light, whereas in the new loaner car the suspension was much smoother, I think the road clearance was a bit higher and could feel the bumbs much less. The steering in the loaner was also harder than my 2006.

My car has done only 33K miles and cud be because of some wear and tear but if I remember correctly it did not feel anyway like the new 2008 when I drove it out of the dealership.

Does anyone know if Acura has done some major redesigning in the suspension/steering or is there something wrong with my suspension ?

Thanks!

im pretty sure that the 07-08 base models have a slightly softer suspension than the base 04-06 5AT.....might realate to what u experienced....

Correct- and the '07-'08 TL-S has a firmer suspension.

What component makes the steering harder

Having both a 2004 and 2008 is there a part that contributes mainly to the lower assist in the 2008 versus the 2004.

Probably age alone. They might have played around with the powersteering pump pressures to change assist for better road feel but I've only heard of that on the TL-S.

FWIW, 04-06 springs and shocks are firmer and they used firmer compliance bushings too.

'07-'08 base modes were softer and used slightly larger swaybars to try and make up for some of the additional bodyroll. It's fine to do this for the average consumer but the swaybars won't make up for the performance lost in the springs and shocks.

Since all 3g suspensions are intechangable you could easily swap in the later suspension and have your car ride about the same.

thats why i bought a 06 tl instead of 07 model. because i think 07 is a bit too soft for me but type-s is both too hard and too expensive.

Just to clarify it is a 2008 TL-S
I read they made a change and know they are different. I'm wondering if it is maybe just the power steering unit. The PS unit is the same for all 08's
