I have a 07 Type S, can I use base shocks and springs?

I know this might sound like a very weird request as not many people would buy the high end model of a car and want to use parts from the base model car. Anyway, I have had two TL's a 07 base with nav which I then sold for my 07 Type S automatic. I absolutely love my Type S however the only complaint I have about the car is how it handles over bumps. I know that the Type S will naturally be a firmer ride however it feels as if the suspension is lose or clunky over bumps and I never remember my 07 base being like that. I dont race the car or rarely drive aggressively so I could careless if I jeopordize a little bit of handling for a better and more comfortable feeling suspension. There is nothing wrong with the car or the suspension, but I have just never driven a car where it feels like the wheels wobble or bounce up and down when going oiver a bump. Its kind of annoying sometimes.

So, my question is will I be able to use the shocks and springs from another 07 or 08 BASE model TL on my Type S? I know the Type S has the larger 3.5 motor so im thinking the springs might be slightly different I dont know.

Any additional info would be appreciated. (MOD EDIT)
James

James, as you can see- I edited your first post. After you get your answer and if you want to, post a "want to trade" thread in the Black Market in the Off Topic section of the forum. Thanks.

The Type S has a stiffer suspension but the base suspension will bolt up. Check our BM for a decent used set or purchase new.

I don't see why not....same components, just slightly different valving in the shocks and slight softer spring rate...but all the mounting points and hardware is the same. I'd suspect that even the ride height between the two is very close...
