Taken from hondanews.com
"The TL with manual transmission has a T145/70R17 temporary spare tire. A T135/80R16 temporary spare is used on the TL with automatic transmission. The advantages of a temporary spare include maximum trunk space, and reduced vehicle weight for better handling and fuel economy."

The manual transmission version has a limited slip differential, the automatic doesn't. With a limited slip differential, the height of the tires on the front axle (in this case) must be the same, therefore that's why the spare matches the height of the regulare 17" tire. It would be bad news if you changed out a flat front tire with a 16" spare on the manual version.

I was curious about the LSD? So i went to acura.com website and went to tl specs. From there is says the 6 speed has LSD but says nothing about the auto. I have manual but am curious if anyone else knew for sure.

Not only LSD
Everything I have read says the 6MT has Limited Slip. From what I read and from calling the dealer, it also has different springs and dampers all around. Tighter ride & handling.

Three Wheelin'
I plan to get 19" rims this year.. say i get a flat in the front.. best thing to do is take one rear rim and place it in the front (since we have fwd) then put the spare on in the back.
would it be a bad idea to have the spare on in general since the other 3 rims are 3" bigger? (i have at)
or just call AAA?
side note: if i bought a cheap 19" wheel/tire can i deflate the tire and get it to fit inside the spare tire well? so when if i do get a flat i can just inflate the tire and just drive normally. i can always opt to buy the MT spare wheel after i have 19's on my ride.
