How hard are your Tein coilovers to adjust?

After speaking with Undying Dreams and from first hand experience i've noticed that adjusting Tein coilovers takes a bit of force. Are they suppose to be really hard to adjust?

IIRC my Function&Forms did not take nearly as much force.

i have the tein street advance, when i raised them it was kinda hard, but when i was lowering them i could almost do it without the wrenches,

just unlock the bottom and then spin it, its very easy.

anything more than an inch from the bottom and mine are a pita to adjust upwards. I started raising mine up for my trip to the dealer for the powersteering hose line replace and gave up (was 97 degrees out). way more hassle than it used to be to adjust teins. its like theres too much spring now.

Mine were rough lowering them over the weekend (probably less than 500 miles on them too, I don't drive much) but it was doable.

if you dont anti-seeze them and you drive in road salt at all they will never move again. i had to use an impact chisel to move mine on my accord after only 5 months and the weakest pittsburgh winter in decades.

if you get yours to move then you better lube them up!

I had SS's on my TL, going down was almost effortless but going up required the wrenches and some force.

Down is easy....up you have to put some muscle ...but who goes up after coming down...lol

It's not that big of a deal....with the shitty wrenches you get from f&f I was more pissed

I'm sure everyone does this already, but just to clarify...you should always make sure you thoroughly clean the coilover threads before you try moving any of the collars. I use a try towel to wipe everything down, then I use compressed air (or an air gun) to get off any lingering debris. After I clean everything, I spray on a light coat of white lithium grease to make everything move a little smoother. OP, you might want to use a mallet to hit the spanner wrenches to see if that loosens them up...maybe apply some PB Blaster as well. If all that fails, you might have to hit the collars with a torch for like 30 seconds and then try to see if they'll break loose. Good luck!

After two bloody knuckles and bruised palm I was finally able to adjust them. I just wish the perch wrenches were designed better...always slipping off an shit. And why they made the end of the wrenches horizontal instead of vertical is beyond me.

did you put antisieze on the threads when you installed em? im taking my teins to get them installed and bringing some anti sieze. saw a thread where they installed the ht spec 2's and they put them on there i guess to make it easier to lower and raise em. dont know if thats the purpose but sounds like a good idea.
