How To Change Driver Side CV Axle

I can't seem to find a good how-to video or instructions for changing out my 2006 TL CV Axle. If anyone can provide a procedure, it would be greatly appreciated. I found some videos for other vehicles, so I have purchased an electric impact driver. I also found out that I need a 36mm socket to get the axle nut off, although I'm not sure if I need to "un-dent" the axle nut and if so, what is the best way to do that. The other question I have is whether or not the axle will slide out between the suspension forks or not. I read a post somewhere that suggested later models allowed the axle joints to slip through without any extra effort.

Eric the Car Guy has a video. Also, there is discussing in one/some of the OEM vs AM axle threads IIRC. It's not a particulary difficult task.

If you're using a strong enough impact wrench, you won't need to "un-dent" the nut. Otherwise, I think most people just carefully use a hammer and flat blade screw driver/chisel.

Are you replacing with OEM or AM? Just curious....

Yeapp. I was thinking of the passenger side. The driver side is easy. Use a pry bar and a hammer and you are done. It's the passenger that's a b****. But, I would make sure first if I could remove the fork mount bolt off the lower control arm first. They have a tendency to get stuck on the bushing.

Here you go, not for a TL, but exactly the same. I used this instruction on my Accord V6. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...l-pics-382416/

The driver's side is easy. Make sure you have new cotter pins for the lower ball joint.
