How can I fit my wheels? Please help
Hi guys,
I own a 2007 Acura TL type S 5AT. I recently got 5zigen fno1rc 18x8.5 48 ET with falken 245-45-18 for the car. I tried putting them on today, but the guy from the tireshop told me that the front wheels were touching the brembo brakes and advised me to get the spacers if I wanted to put them on. I was told that putting spacers won't do any good or even dangerous in the long run. Is there any way to put them on without getting spacers? If not, do I only have the option of selling the rims?? Please help!

Stated this before, get some flat washers 9/16" ID about 1.5" OD and put one each on 3 of the studs. Put wheel on and see if they still hit the caliper. Is so, add one more to each stud and keep adding until the wheel clears the caliper. If the wheel just clears the Brembos, add 3mm which is the minimum clearance recommended by Brembo to the thickness of the washers required. At this point if more than 5mm you'll need longer studs, but as the fronts are a pain to change, get Ichiba spacers that will bolt onto the OE studs and contain the new studs:

No problems using these adapters.
Also, if you actually have the 245/45-18 tires they are too tall for the TL as the diameter is 1" more than the OE size, at least in my opinion. Look for 245/40-18. Once you get the number of washers on the stud for clearance, put the wheel assembly on to see if you like the stance as it's your vehicle. Just don't drive the car.
