Help with wheels

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a set of Sport Edition SE-14 (G37 lookalikes) and wondering what size would look best on a stock ASPEC lipkit only 05 WDP TL. Since i live in WI and we have thousands of potholes i will not be lowering the car and only making it look good with rims. Will the 18in rims raise my car height a little or remain the same as the stock 17s? I dont want a 4x4 look just some nice rims and still have the stock look to it. Any help would be great.

See if they offer a 18x8 +35 size. If they offer that, look into 235/40/18 tires. That combination will make the overall wheel/tire combo only 1/10" shorter than stock and you'll be a little flusher than the stock setup.

You should really consider getting suspension to keep your car away from the "4x4 look". The roads aren't perfect anywhere.

^to add, getting larger diameter wheels will be compensated by getting the same rolling diameter tire.
so, it wont raise or lower the car, it will still have the same amount of wheel gap.

Ok, so you say if i went with 18x8 +35 which they do have and with the tire size you recommend, my ride height will still be the same as my stock 17s star. Will the 18in rims fill the fender gap a bit unlike the 17s. The tire i want on the rims are continental DWS.

larger Diameter wheels (18's vs 17s) will be compensated by the same rolling diameter tire size as stock.
you will still have the same amount of wheel gap.

and if you're thinking of changing the tire size to fill in that gap, DONT.
that's not the correct way of closing the gap.
your speedometer will be off and your car will look off with thicker profile tires

No, I'm just trying to make my daily look good with a different set of wheels. The rims i want to put on is these. If getting 18s will look the same and yield the same results as my stock 17s, then forsure i will pull the trigger. Also to mention the +35 will be sitting flush with the fenders right, i wont be rubbing since i'm not lowered right? Thanks for the help guys.

what we are trying to tell you, is that it wont rub and your tire selection will compensate for the larger diameter, (18s vs 17s) so your wheel gap will look the same as before.

thats like 4 times that it was repeated

use this website
https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator
to help you figure out the correct tire size, you'll understand what I mean by tire compensation when you start playing and comparing the tire sizes.

it will let you know if the tires are TOO big or TOO small.
