help! paint stock rims!
does anyone know the best way to paint my stock rims? i dont want to change them because i love the stock ones. im looking at a gun-metal color like the A-spec rims.

I did mine in a light gunmetal.
- remove, completely wash wheel/tire
- remove little rubber tire nibs that were touching the rim edge
- wax/degreaser solvent wipe
- sand w/ 500 grit, clean/wash again
- mask
- wax/degreaser solvent wipe
- tack/blow surface
- base (color)
- clear
You could also have them powder coated. High quality paint is also very durable. The clear material I used is a quality 2K clear (hardener/clear). As long as the prepping is correct, the paint will stick like glue.
