Hey guys,

I got my rims today but I think they messed up on my rims. I paid extra for a 3.25" lip but I keep on measuring 2.5" EDGE of the wheel to the EDGE of the lip. I attached some pics to show you how I measured the lip size. You can see that's it not even close to 3.25"

I called up D2Autosport, whom I had ordered it from, and they told me that I need to to measure the area where the lip is rolled also. Meaning that I need to unroll the edge of the lip (the wheels have the rolled J-lip) and measure that also.

Does this sound like BS to you guys on how to measure the lip? I have never heard of this before. I think that the guy is just lying to me to cover up Iforged's mistakes.

What do you guys think?

It looks correct to me. Thats how they measure the lip. It starts on the inside and goes till the edge of the rolled lip. Thats how 3pc wheels are.

Well the fronts were promised as 1.5" and I measure the front the same way and it's 1.5" like it's suppose to be. I dunno what's up with the rear wheels though.

yea, it sounds like bs but it's not, that's how they are measured. what did u get...aeros? they look sweet, post some pics!

Are they Iforged wheels? They lie about the lip sizes and always measure down the roll. This isn't the first time I've seen someone with the same problem and they had iforged wheels.

*EDIT*

Read the rest of the post...so yeah sounds about right for Iforged wheels. Most companies measure from the face to the edge, not counting the rolled part. 5zigen only measures the flat part, so they stop measuring once the lip starts to roll!

Yea they're Iforged wheels. They look nice but man it's dissappointing with that lip size. I'm not sure what to do cuz I heard Iforged customer service is hella bad.

The other guy I talked about spoke with iforged and they did nothing for him even though in his case it didn't even actually measure up to what they said when his measured with the roll. I bet if you measured yours with the roll it still wouldn't measure to the 3.25"

You're right, it doesn't even add up to 3.25".

Did your friend just live with it?

I didn't know the person personally, I read the post he made on another forum, but I think he just lived with it. I would get back to D2 about the lips not even measuring up and see where that takes you. You paid extra for that lip, so they should atleast very least refund the difference.
