http://mackinindustries.com/md/rays/volk.html

check there....volks are the way to go for rims. But if they are too pricey then you can look here also.

http://dazzmotorsports.com/wheels_rac.asp

racing harts are not bad for the money either just not as well made as volks.

Heres more to look at

www.wheelwarehouse.com

SouthBay Acura ask for Kai in parts
310-539-3636

www.importhookups.com

http://www.visracing.com/catalog/con...9c0a4add4091e1

they sell bodykits but I believe they sell rims also. Just remember if you buy volks that the wait time is 4-6 months depending on what you order. Good luck.

wiz, there should be a ton of those.. it all depends on how much you want to spend and if you want 2 piece with fake rivets or a 3 pc wheel which may run you a couple hundred more.

For the color you want, I would say go for the the DPE's in the brushed dark color they offer. It looks so nice compared to a regular black.

Damn now thats HOTTTTT....I wanna say thats a Flat black finish, but it has a greyish tint to them...maybe flat gunmetal...I dont even know if that exsists.....Yet? THe porches wheels have more of a glossy (normal) finish.

Thanks everyone for your help.
The HPE wheels are great but damn they cost a lot.
I am looking into the DPE wheels.

I may get the 2P wheels from iforged for $2400. in black with rivets.

I have been reading a lot of complaints from the HRE side too. Those who are hardcore and race their cars say they have broken theirs. The HRE's front face is the only thing that is forged (this is hear say from 6speedonline.com). A lot of people have been backing up Iforged lately and noticed that most lambopower.com (lamborghini's) users are riding on Iforged. One of the guys who said he knows the back end of these business's sees HRE's break all the time and for the Iforged line, none. Makes you wonder! I have the link on my other computer if you want to read it. One of Vincent Wong's arguments towards copying others when he was confronted about it was that he asked.. "How many ways can you create a 5 spoke wheel?". There isnt much and there are tons of other wheel manufacturers who have 5 spoke too.

They also say that HRE has better service, but still not as great as Kinesis. As for Iforged, good luck getting any service, but for the price you get them, you can easily replace one wheel. HRE, DPE & Iforged are all made the same way supposedly, but not from the same place.

Here you go...

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...5&pagenumber=2

extracted:

some have a mob mentality and a snob mentality which leads them to make such comments. I have a strong background working behind the scenes in the aftermarket industry that I laugh when people jump on the hate bandwagon. If some of you only knew the truth about HRE's. one may find out they are far from tip top of quality. Just because a rim may be priced slightly higher than it's competition does not always mean it's better.

I wouldn't buy HRE's cause iv'e seen more than a few sets crack. Iforge I have never heard of or seen this happen, so to me HRE's are beneath Iforged. However, I would never comment in that type of way to someone directly, especially the way this car is put together it gets nothing but 100% respect from me.

Iforged service isnt bad. Its just better off if you order the wheels through one of their distributors rather than directly with them. I have a set on my car and my brother has a set on his car. It only took 4-6 weeks to get the wheels. From what i hear, iforged wheels are finished at the same place as HRE wheels. I dont know much about DPE

They arent knockoff brands. That used to be what people thought because their intial wheels looked similar but were in fact different in design. All wheel makers whether from HRE, SSR, volk, maya, or whatever else have some similar designs but have slight differences to differentiate themselves from other wheels. I dont know alot about DPE, but iforged wheels are becoming quite popular in the luxury car market. Ferrari's, lambo's, porsche's bimmers, etc have them. They are lightweight fully forged wheels that are custom made for a good price. Still a little pricey but are worth the price

Actually.. the place Iforged makes their wheels (Introforged?) is 2 hrs away from Iforges place as quoted here from Autoweek:

"Wong’s company creates its forged wheels in Anaheim, California, less than two hours away from HRE’s own factory in San Diego."

Take it from me, 3 piece wheels are for those who don't mind paying out the nose. The problem per wheel is much higher due to human error, I mean, one monoblock forged piece is better than 3 pieces fastened together in a technical aspect. One out of ten wheels is bound to been have assembled incorectly, or have a n outer than was out of round from the factory. We had 2-3 problems with our three piece wheels that were sent back and fixed, but it was a hassle, and it was due to assembly inaccuracy and defective outer hoops. Guys with Lambos wouldn't mind paying whatever to have their wheels shipped, fixed and returned, but those guys have dough to blow. The only benefits of 3 piece wheels is exclusivety, style and stature. Functionally, they are def not superior than One piece monoblock forged wheels, or even Some cast wheels for that matter.
