Has lowering affected your CV joint life?

I just thought of another concern if I lower my vehicle. If the axles aren't perfectly horizontal, it will cause parts in the CV joints to move (bearings will be constantly rotating), potentially causing premature wear on the joint. Has anyone experienced reduced CV joint life due to lowering (less than 100,000 miles)? I guess this might not be that different than having two heavy passengers in the front. My new CV joints have a lifetime parts & labor warranty, so I wonder if lowering would affect that warranty...and I just called the shop, and they told me that as long as nothing sticks out and punctures the boots, they'd be covered. Nice.

i lowered my car and immediately had axle binding. it depends on how low you go tho. my 07KBP type s has 108k moderately dropped, on factory axles and didn't have any issues. my 08CBP type s had 90k when i dropped it and i've had vibration issues while accelerating ever since. im going to replace my axles any way this summer.

its a fwd vehicle. the front suspension takes a beating on OEM shocks.
lower it, and you're putting additional stress on front end components.

autozone sells lifetime warranty axles. when they go out, just return it and get yourself a new one. which it sounds like the shop is doing for you

Would you happen to know how much (like how many inches) each of your drops were on those two cars? What does axle binding feel like?

I guess I'll find out if OEM is better. I have one OEM and one aftermarket axle (that's the way the shop did it based on availability).
