Hankook Snow Tires - Flik Wheels Anyone?
Has anyone heard of the Hankook W300, W400 or W440 tires? I'm thinking of getting a set of these on FLIK (LEX) wheels from Edge Racing.
Anyone know anything about FLIK wheels?
Also, since I have a 6MT I have to stick with a 17" snow tire, so the size I'm thinking of getting is 205-50-17 (load rating of 93) which will result in a narrower tire (better for snow) to go on the 17" x 7" FLIK wheels.
Fellow TLers let me know what you've heard and what you think.
Thank you,
TL-Rocket

Those FLIK Lex wheels look nice but I really don't know much about them. Here is the way I went https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/still-havent-seen-damn-plow-down-my-road-yet-123418/ The rims I got (Sport Edition Fox 5) are cheaper and admittedly not as nice as the ones you point out. They were on closeout at tire rack (might be gone by now). I've had good experience with tire rack so I went with them. They were one of the few on-line places that would verify a rim fit for the 6MT. Most places don't even know there is a difference and will recommend anything.
I have since eBay-ed some Acura knock off center caps. I know they are fake but they still look good.
Your right on about narrower for sizes. This is the first time I havn't gone narrower. The Blizzaks I got should offer more than enough grip however even in the OEM size.

i have the icebear W300 and they r best bang for the buck...and they perform well as well...i recommend thsoe snow tires for low to medium snow...cuz it's more on the performance side.....but then...i have 235/45/17...so it wasn't that great on deep snow...still, i never got stuck once.
