H&R Sports + 215/55/16 Yokohama
I finally got rid of my stock tires. They are worn out and have zero wet traction left. Instead of the 225/55/16 on stock rims, I chose 215/55/16. I know about the >1% speedo difference and all, but I am concerned that 225 might rub. So I've taken the safe side and got a set of Yokohama AVID V4. They look quite low profile, rather than the 225/55 "fatty" style. Handling is quite good, road noise is same or less than stock. Now I can put my springs to good use without having the worry of squealing tires. Besides I don't think my stockers can last thru this winter

I was going to do exactly the same thing but i decided in the end to go w/ 225/55/16 with Yokohama AVS db. At first the manager recommended me to go w/ 225/50/16 cuz of rubbing concerns but after i got them mounted..they looked like 4X4 again. Even w/ OE i have lil marks on my driver rear tires marks of a slight rub. I was very perturbed, so I trimmed off the bummer tab to see what would happen. Hopefully that solved my problem. I mite switch to CT springs. Still deciding.

I doubt 225/50/16 would rub with stock.
I had 245/45/17 on a stock suspension with no rubbing on my TLS.
215/55/16 diameter is 25.3 inches vs 25.7 stock so it's not a big deal. Keep in mind that all mfctrs differ slightly so you may be able to find a larger 215/55/16 or a smaller 225/55/16
For example the Bridgestone RE 950 225/55/16 is 25.7 inches in diameter which is exactly stock. The Dunlop A2 225/55/16 is 25.6 inches diameter.
Just do a search on tirerack.com and check the specs

225/50/16 will not rub unless u go for the eibach drop. I originally had the 225/50/16 with mounted on first...it looked like 4x4 all over again and this was already w/ OE's. So i swapped them w/ 225/55/16.
