here:
Spring Rate is the amount of weight needed to compress a spring a certain . Springs are rated in LB/in (in metric system kg/mm), or specifically, how many pounds of weight are required to depress the spring by one inch. To convert LB/in to kg/mm international, you must divide divide figure by 56.

Consider you have 2 springs having different spring rates: One with 345 g/mm and the other with 480 g/mm. So what does it mean?

It means the 1st spring will compress 1 mm if you put a load of 345 grams, while the 2nd one will not. The 2nd one will need a 480 g. load to compress 1 mm. According to this, we can say that the 2nd spring is harder than the 1st one, or we can state that:

Springs that have a low Spring Rate are soft, while springs that have a high Spring Rate are stiffer.

also, it's a good idea to upgrade your shocks/struts if the drop is extreme.

So tokico blue shocks/struts wont work with Tein springs? becasue i have been reading some forums that people use stock shock with their Tein spring.

the stock shocks will work but will wear out sooner with lowering springs compared to stock springs.

if the stock shocks are used/old with high mileage, then they will wear out sooner with lowering springs.

if the stock shocks are fairly new with low mileage, then they will last for a while, but not as long as with stock springs.

I don't have any experience with Tokico shocks, so I can't comment on that though there are some members running tokicos with lower springs.

it seems H&R sports are more popular then Tein Stechs due to the moderate drop. Tein STechs are 1.5"-2". H&R sports are 1.3"F/1.4"R.

Yeh. I thought about C.O. route , but I don't track my car + I'll probably trade in for a new car in 2-3yrs. I've always just lower all my cars with H&R, Teins. Never really have any issues on suspension. I rather have extra $600 to spend on something else. but thanks for the advice.

Just dropped my car with the stock struts and the H&R sport springs. After two weeks the car has settled. Here are the results. The car rides great and is not to harsh. I am sitting on 18 inch Ronjons. Kind of gives an idea of just how much of a drop you get.
