H&R Coilover pics, review

Finally finished the drop today. I waited a while for the springs to settle, and had the time to get an alignment done. The car rides great, very happy with that, was one of my main concerns. I did have one slight issue. The front spring ends were not smoothed out and had a slight edge that ate up the nylon washer and dug into the metal adjustment nut. H&R sent out replacements and I added a hardened metal wave washer. I found the perfect size from McMaster-Carr. Worked perfect and really made the adjusting easy. I had the alignment done by a master Lexus tech that has his own independent specialty repair/performance shop. He was diggin the ack, even complimented on how nice the car rode, considering its lowered.

Thanks mang. Those are the wheels I like btw. I don't like the ride on thin profile tires, so stock size suites me as well.

Nice.

I love H&R's stuff. I'd love to get those.

BTW, excuse my noob-ness, but what are these:

Camber Adjustment? If so, which manufacturer?

Yep, rear camber kit. Made by Ingalls Engineering. The shop owner also said they were a easy to use when when doing the alignment. I read about the rear inner tire wear problems, even with just the A-spec, so I def wanted to install a kit for the rear.

Do you have any more/better pics of the car? A straight side shot, perhaps?

Seems like a great set up. How much does this kit cost? Does it ride fairly smooth like stock? Thanx for the pics. This gives me a better look at the Ingalls kit also! I 'm considering those, I have A-Spec suspension. Yes, I've heard about not needing an alignment kit but you can definitely see the negative camber of the rear wheels compared to the front wheels..

It's around 1K. It's on the more expensive side for non damper adjustable. I would have used a mid range setting and left it anyway, H&R tunes the shock accordingly. For about a 2" drop it rides great, def still comfy for a DD IMO. Obviously any coilover kit is going to have stiffer springs, slightly more bouncy and more stiff ride, ect. I just like the look of them too, plenty of spring length. When I dropped it the rears did have a lot of neg camber just at eye sight.

Wow, that looks like an absolutely perfect drop. What settings are you on? And the ride's not that bad?

I'm moving on to paint matching the bumpers, and A-spec kit next.

The ride height is set at about 25" in the front, 24 7/8" in the rear. From the highest point on the fender wheel well edge to the ground.

I don't know how much that kit drops the height. It's sure not going to hurt. The bumpers are off color, which is no biggie, looks better/worse at different angles. Its never going to perfect like solid black, but I can get the match closer, more acceptable to me.
