Goodyear Eagle tread separating from tire-steel belt showing

Luckily, I caught it over the weekend while i was rotating my tires. Looks pretty bad and it could have blown out any time. It also looks like a lot of Goodyear Eagle F1 RSA users have experienced the same issue as well. For now, I'll just run on my spare for my 60mi daily RT commute till the weekend.

I've been eying the Hankook ventus v12 which are highly rated and ranked 2nd in Car and Drive.

I should be able to get it mounted/installed/ w warranty for a little under $500 for a set after $60 rebate. Good deal?

I'm pretty much set on the Hankook ventus v12 evo. Tire size 235/45/17

Application: Just daily driver commuting tires with maybe some fun on the on and off ramps haha. I live in socal so there's not much rain/snow where I live so I can use a max summer perf. tire all year long

Go 245/45-17. The Hankook has a relatively narrow tread width, especially for a summer tire (235 only 8.1") so go with a 245 (8.4") if you're set on the V12. Review the tread widths before purchase and any 245/45 tire at 25.7" tall is almost identical to the OE Michelin's at 25.6".

Just an example-The S.4, I realize an A/S tire, but in 245/45 the tread width is 8.7"
