Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S vs. Response Edge?
I am looking at new tires for my 2004 TL. I have narrowed it down to 2 Goodyear tires: the Eagle F1 All Season and the Eagle Response Edge.
I live in Minnesota so an all-season is a must. I was leaning toward the Eagle F1 but it has no mileage warranty ( the response edge has a 50,000m warranty). The F1 is a high performance tire and the Edge is a touring tire so the Edge rates better in ride and quiteness. The F1s actually look better than the Edge tires.
Has anyone out there compared these tires side by side? Thanks.

F1 A/S FTW.

Yeah get the F1 Eagle A/S. Response Edge - 50k treadlife = stiffer rubber translating to slip and slide especially on a TL which begs for more traction.
Touring tires = grandma tires. You have to try not to peel out at stoplights on dry pavement. On rain, forget out it. I've never used the Response Edge, but like most touring tires I've driven, they're no fun. The stock MXM4 Pilot's are grand touring i believe so you'd be taking a step down.
I feel much more confident/safe now on my Eagle F1 A/S's after my switch. You can't lose unless you end up getting a 1 defect tire like I did in the first place which is just a pain to replace but that's just my luck.
