I am looking to buy some new wheels for my 06 ASM TL and have been looking for some new wheels to put on my car. Of course me being the label whore that I am I immediately fell in love with Vossen and CCW wheels. Unfortunately, I can not afford them and have been trying to find some decently priced wheels that I could buy for a set of 4 for $1,000 or less. Any suggestions?
I work at an Acura dealership so I am not terribly concerned with the tires on the car as I get a good discount on them since I am an employee.
Thanks in advance for the help

You being a label whore plus such a small budget for wheels doesnt add up, theres nothing but replica (cheap) wheels under $1000 like XXR/Rota etc. i mean they look nice and a lot of people here on the forum have them but remember you get what you pay for. Memory Fab website has a lot of used name brand wheels like Work/Volk etc... at the end of the day its worth the extra money to stand out instead of having cheap wheels like most people have.
How is that being a fool, you get what you pay for. An XXR wheel and a Work wheel are completely different quality and by that I'm not saying the Work wheel is indestructible but like i said you get what you pay for so in a nutshell besides the standing out part which is my opinion and thought it would make some kind of sense for somebody who considers themselves a "label whore", investing in something more durable and better constructed with higher quality materials is a smart move and wheels are no exception. Some people say they cant afford things but if you are patient and save up a bit more cash you can make a better investment. IJS.

I kind of have a 10% rule. In no way should your wheel cost exceed 10% of the value of the car. So for me thats about 1.5k . I love the HRE wheels made locally but I am not putting them on the TL. I am actually waiting for some single drilled XXR530's. strong enough, light enough, good looking enough and definitely the right price.

As stated, you wont be making the label whore inside you happy for under 1G.
As well, you said Vossen and CCW but those are very different in price. CCW are going to cost twice what Vossens do.
Label whore in the sense of that everything I own is "name brand" and have never really wanted knock-offs. But with a 1 year old and getting married soon my budget only really allows for some wheels under a $1000. I know ccws are expensive as hell and vossens are cheap either. I have only had the car for a few months and would like to start making the car look nicer. Especially where I live everybody is driving some luxury brand car so to stand out from the rest of the cars would be nice. I saw xxr and tsw wheels and thought they looked nice. Just wanted something nice to purchase for the car. Thank you guys for the help
You're lucky you don't live in SoCal. Over here if you try to tell anyone you're a "label whore" you better have brands like works, bbs, volk, ccw, etc. even if you don't have a lot of money to spare, stick with oem until you can afford the name brands, at least that's what a label whore will do. It's just too competitive here in SoCal, nothing wrong with xxr's but if you want to be in the wheel fitment and name brand community, you can't go with xxr's, you'll be laughed out.
That being said, I'm not part of that whole wheel fitment community and I have nothing against xxr's but I have a lot of friends who are "wheel whores" so I know how they think.
The wheel fitment and brand life isn't for everyone, it's not cheap, there is absolutely nothing wrong with not having name brands so don't take my post the wrong way.

This is a story of what I saw one time. I was at a "meet" and some guy comes up and starts talking about how he has a show car at home and when asked what wheels he had, he said xxr's. Right there and then he became the laughing stock of the crowd. I'll let you figure out why.
You can also check CARID.com. Forget name brand/forged wheels that's just for bragging
rights. There's plenty of good cheaper wheels including XXR that have nice looks strong
enough for street and some track time. Sure we all wish we could afford 3 4 5 thousand +
$ wheels save that for the high end cars, not that the TL/TLS or what ever car cant have
them. Just get what you can afford. I'm sure they will look nice.

What i think is funny is that the image whores cant get their label wheels in correct sizes. They are compelled to go so agressive they need 6 degrees of camber so the car looks broken and people will actually look at the wheels.
PBmike couldnt be more wrong.
I want to say that first off... Varrstoen (sp) and TSW are nothing like Rota and XXR. Rota and XXR are the bottom and i say BOTTOM of the barrel when it comes to wheels.
They'll roll of course. But they wont hold up to a nasty pot hole and a small accident that an OEM wheel would stand up to.
TSW and Varrstoen, though still being knock off replica wheel makers, make a much finer quality wheel than rota or XXR. I would also put Konig up there with Varrstoen and TSW.
I have heard recently that XXR is stepping up their game but in my opinion, fuck it dont risk it.
I was looking at rotiforms for a while. Cast monoblocks go for about 1200 without tires and even those I am hearing are having some major issues here and there. So thats a wheel company producing wheels at $1,200 msrp that still end up being faulty.
Scary shit right there.
Do research and if you can get a local tire shop to order the wheels for you and put tires on through them. That way when the wheels come in THEY will inspect them and THEY will contact the company if they see any issues.
