I heard those bad boys have a little hard ride.

But drop wise, it all depends on your taste. I mean Jay (distorted Reality) and myself would say SLAM IT (as well as others on this forum) But it all comes down to what do you feel is comfortable.

Many people will drop about 1.5-2 inches

For coilovers they ride pretty smooth actually.

I would drop it 1.5" and let the spring settle for a week or two. Then adjust from there, then get an alignment. I had a slight issue with mine. The front nylon washers got tore up from the spring end, and a lot of adjusting. I added a thin metal washer and replaced the nylon with a new one. Adjusting the fronts went from PITA to quick and easy. I'm really satisfied with this kit though, my issue was minor.

" if sparks don't fly, your ridin too high "

I'm dropped a little under 2", I scrape the front strake / lower air deflector once in while, but it's no big deal at all.

Don’t forget alignment. Toe in is the most important.

FYI, let your springs settle for around 2 weeks before you get an alignment.

Not really good advice. When you drop it for 1.5” you get huge toe in angle all around. Driving it like that is unsafe and would damage tires. On the other hand any good springs won’t settle significantly in two weeks.

I disagree. It's really not that big of a deal unless you drive around like a race car driver in bad weather. I have the same kit, my springs did settle very slightly, from when it was first installed. I actually raised it up just a hair to get the height dialed in how I wanted it, just before the alignment. I also drove my car around and it was completely fine. I guess it all depends on how much you daily drive though. If you take it easy, use common sense there will be no problem.

Comparing my height to a stock TL, roughly 1-3/4" front, 1-1/2" rear drop.

I thought I was lower, but it was not on perfect level ground.

Well, you disagree with your own experience. You said that your car settled VERY SLIGHTLY and you raised it JUST A HAIR. I called that insignificantly. Why would you wait for that to happen, driving around with disaster alignment? Have you checked haw bad it actually is when you lower TL for a 1.5”?

The springs settled, that's a fact. How much, I didn't measure, but it was enough to clearly notice the change. When they settled the ride height lowered, that's also a fact. As your aware the susp geometry changes, when the ride height changes.

I wanted the alignment done after the springs settled, so none of the set angles drifted away after adjusting. I also wanted to do final adjusting once I knew how low I wanted to set it at. I wanted the toe to be as perfect as possible, the first time, and be done with it. I've done plenty of alignments myself, but I've never looked at the change between alignment angles right after installing lowering springs, and after the springs settled. Obviously not all springs settle the same, so this is what I chose to do without knowing what the exact difference would be, looking at the exact angles on an align rack. This should be simple to understand. This was my decision, and it worked well for me, and has worked well for others. That's great you have different logic, opinion and reasoning, but it's not worth going back and forth about.

Also with coilovers it helps to drive around and figure out how low you can go, or want to go looks wise, and what the effects come from the ride height change. The alignment should be done after any and all final height adjustment, hence the 2 weeks. Rushing off to get the alignment done will be a waist, if you decide to change the height a weeks or two later.

Your logic was perfectly clear from the beginning, but you should check how bad alignment is when you lower TL for 1.5” before you advice anybody to drive it around for two weeks like that. You are trying to save some money jeopardizing security and likely hurting your tires for more than you save on alignment. Driving it like that is not worthy experience because handling is badly hurt by terrible alignment. If you align right away you have way more than two weeks to test and decide, since settling or small corrections of height won’t change alignment for much. I am not a lawyer, but I can just imagine how important your alignment could become in case insurance company is involved. Taking shortcuts is usually costly.

When you look at a stock TL there is a more of a gap in the front vs rear. I wanted to even it out a little. How does the ride feel?
