Getting New Wheels, need help

Ok, I've checked the sticky about the the wheels, offset, rubbing and all that good stuff. Can't seem to find anyone with a +45 offset in that posting.

I am looking at getting some 18" Driv Mach 5 wheels for my
Type-S. I am not lowering my car since that is my highway car and had a 97 Accord and got tired of the ride quality.

Would I rub if I got?

18x7 with 225/40/18 and +45 offset?

18x8.5 with 225/40/18 and +45 offset?

I don't want my wheel sticking out past the fender, but I would like to go to the 8.5" wide, but I think it would rub? Or would it.

Any feedback you all can provide would be great. Attached is the pic of the wheel I'd like to get..in chrome of course.

not sure

not sure if it is even 45+offsets on those mach 5.. they are the basically the same as the niche haaz with a stripe in the middle and the neepers/driv mach 5... think those sets are 42 + offsets for the 18's and 39 offsets for the 17;s... was gonna get those but i decided not to... let me know if u get them okay!

NICE WHITE TL-S

Well, after taking a closer look on this website, I think you are right

They have a +45 or a +34 offset in the 18x8.5 size.
+42 in the 18x7 size.

http://www.cksales.net/wheels/driv/driv_mach_5.htm

I wonder if the 8.5" wide is too wide. I'm assuming the 7" wide size would work with a +42 offset wouldn't it? Like I said, I am not dropping the car and I am hoping the wheel/tire stays within the fenders. Thoughts?

your best bet is 18x7 with the 42 offset and possible rubbing. you will want 225/40 tires. the 8.5s with a 45 might be flush to the fenders but the tire will break the plane for sure and cause rubbing on bumps.

I think these wheels will look tight as a mug. They still have a stock wheel look to it with the wide 5 spokes, but the chrome, split spoke and curvature of the spokes are gonna look clean when they spinnin as slow down at the intersection. If you can get some pics of your friends ES300 with these, please take a pic and post if possible. I'm sure other folks may like to see those also. Thanks

Oh, and I agree, these rims do look pimp fo sho
