Been there .. done that ... not with just tires .. cars too.. They ALWAYS can offer a lower price after you already have them.
Concur. They said the same thing about the wheels. I am a smart shopper and 95% of the best car parts deals are found online, in my experience.

i have the generals with plus one on the stock size. I like the generals but when changing lanes at higher speeds, i feel a slight wobble that didnt occur with stock bridgestones, might be the sidewall issue people have been talking bout. taking turns on city streets makes up for it.

General's are Very Nice~!

Put them on my wife's 530I with 19" rims. They outlast the stock Dunlops and the Toyo Proxes 4...hands down! They are quiet and handle very well dry or wet. Plus...they are very reasonably priced.

Not at all, tell them them to match the price of the best price you find online. Also just a FYI, not all Mavis's are equal with their pricing, call around, one will say no but another one will do the price you want even lower then the previous guy. Just like dealers, and just because you bought from one, doesnt mean you have to go back to him if you a problem, any Mavis will do.

Haha.. glad to help. Try to give back to this community what I've taken to keep the wealth of info flowing. Also consider doing 245's, we're in NY we can use the RIM protection, and sllightly more rubber to get as much comfort as we can out of the 19's. Just my 2 cents, make sure the 245's won't rub with Ron.. I dont think it will, I am running them on my Inspyres, but just verify if you chose to do that. - Raj-

When I was asking questions about these tires about a year ago a couple people also suggested 245 over 235 on 19x8" wheels. I have 35 offset, 19x8's on H&R Sport drop (1.2/1.3") and they don't rub. Unbelievable grip, especially in wet.

Dont do it...

If you haven't gotten these tires yet, please do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs. I have gone through 4 tires in the past 4 months (3 bubbles, and one flat) . If you live in a cold weather environment, they are not worth the hassle. Spend the extra money on something better.

They also knocked my gas mileage down by about 3-5 mpg but that is among the least of my concerns.

Thats odd because I have used them for a season with no issues at all .. even went from 18" to 19" and negligable difference in milage ... we also have them on a 69 Camaro with no issues .. flats you can't count into the equasion.

Your milage drop .. did you change tire size?

Tire size was same as stock. I could pull 32 highway with the stock Michelins, and pulled about 28 with the Generals.

As far as the bubbles go, I consider myself a spirited driver, but not near as aggressive as some. I live in Massachusetts and we have notoriously bad roads in the winter. Regardless of that, 3 replacements in one season screams inferior product. I didn't have this issue with the stocks during their 3 years of use.

strenuously object

I have Exclaim UHP's wrapping 19x8's. Mostly driven in Florida and wet traction is amazing.

Recently moved to Norfolk, VA, where its very cold and the roads are probably the worst roads in America. I've hit a couple potholes that were so bad I was sure all four tires would be flat. They've held up beautifully.

I have almost 20K on them and recently got 32+ mpg on a 1000 mile trip. I keep 38f/37r psi and rotate every 5K. The wear is flat and uniform on all 4.

I think they're the best kept tire secret around.

My buddy put these on a Civic SI, stock rims/tire size. He's not happy with the performance, and regrets the decision.

I believe he took a gamble and went with the exclaims over the Bridgstone pole position 960's.

Just some of my experience,

I have some General Exclaim UHP All Seasons and they are one of the best tires I've used. 18" and pleasant, works perfect with my A SPEC GM

I'm on my second set of UHPs. Great tire. I commute with them 60 miles round trip and they are great. I used them in NJ snow for 2 seasons and excellent traction. I'm gonna buy new wheels and wrap them with these. Just Jack the pressure up to 42psi to compensate for soft sidewall

Great tire for the money spent. Handles well. Comfortable ride. Nice tread pattern. I will definitely purchase these again.
