Fulda Extremo Tires.. anyone know anything about these?
There's an NTB near my work that's trying to sell me Fulda Extremo tires. I can't find any real-world reviews on them. Anyone tried these or know the deal? I have a nail in one sidewall, a screw in the other, and I'm at 23k anyway and was looking for a reason to ditch the Crapanzas

I found one quote in a thread on another forum:
"im assuming you have already made ur choice since ur post was 2 months ago....but i've got Fulda Extremo's 225-55-16's on my acura legend.
the tires are great. bought my first set in 2000, had no problems. great traction dry, good traction wet. its a high speed rated tire so the rubber wears more quickly of course....if i wasnt so far from Big O Tires, i'd buy another set
i was real happy with them.":

Well, I decided to go with these tires. I took a trip up to Dallas with them in the rain, and I noticed a few things off the bat:
- They seem to be quieter than the stock tires
- They don't rebound as hardly on surface irregularities as the stock ones do
- They stick much better in light rain; haven't had a chance to test the hydroplaning effect
- I don't suspect that they'll last very long (tread wear rating of 180 vs 240 for stock)
