Freed up some garage space..."tire hooks"

was so easy.. and cheap!

$16 for 4 hooks with mounting screws
$40 for a stud sensor

*hooks are rated at 25lbs so i doubt i'd be able to get rim/tire set on them as that would weigh too much.

Personally I think this is a nicer solution. Probably costs more though too.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Nice, clean and all together with no space wasted. But, there's gotta be something like that but a little cheaper. Just gotta keep looking.

You must live in one of thos lower mainland basementless houses .. everything stored in the garage .. no room for the cars.

Negative. Lots of room in the 2-car garage

For me, car stuff belongs in the garage and not the basement. Basement is for stuff that belongs in the house.

The OP's garage looks a bit tight, but nothing out of the ordinary for a house that was probably built within the last 10 years. My garage is quite a bit deeper than that one. I have a good 12ft or so in front of my car when it in the garage so my other set of wheels were usually stored under my work bench.

OP, very nice use of space. Works well to free up floor space as well as to potentially keep the rims from getting scratched when stacking them.

I was teasing him .. a lot of the houses at the coast have no basements so people store all thier stuff in the garage and the car sits outside. Nothing wrong with tires in the basement .. I keep mine there and prefer too.. I'd rather have my expensive wheels in a dry area during the winter. Coast air can be pretty humid in the winter.

I never even though about the humid salty air.....especially considering I am at least 500 miles from the nearest body of salt water.
