Fitment gurus chime in, please

Alright fellas here's the deal.. last spring I brought a set of TSW VALENCIA'S 18x8 with an offset of 40.. i was not completely satisfied with the fitment at although I loved the design of the wheel overall. At the time I was a noob to figments, stretched tires, and offsets. I always thought the front looked better than my rear and it annoyed me. So here's what I want to do I'd like to keep my front rims but change the rears for something more aggressive and better fitment. I'm able to get the valencias in 18x9.5 20 offset. MY question for you all is... is this what they call a "staggered look"? Also I'm lowered on coil overs and plan to go abit lower if need be to achieve a perfect fitment but will I most likely need a spacer for the fronts to bring me flush or damn close to flush? Opinions please greatly appreciate all who chime in.

yes, different widths front and back = staggered.

Ahhhh ok got cha. Is your setup considered aggressive or modest? I like your offset. The rear looks like it has alil poke (sexy). Justin riddle me this with a 40 offset up front and a 20 in the rear how do u think it'll look? And what size spacer would I need to run for the front?
Also I'm thinking 215 40 upfront and 225 40 in the rear.
OR to be safe 225 upfront and 235 in the rear?

^^ 15mm spacer up front should get you purty flush and for the back leave alone. But
if you're dropped below 2'' you'll need a rear fender roll and maybe some neg chamber
for the rear. For tire choice the (215 F) you should be ok with 235 R, ride height will be
a factor of course.
