I think as you drive, the springs settle.

I would guess around 300-750 miles, majority of the settling will be done in the first 150 miles.

Like crab stated I would soften it and the coils will get less bouncy and more stiffer as they settle.

no.
turn the dial down.
softer = more Cadillac ride.
stiffer= bouncy.

once you put load on the suspenion, it settles.

I remember reading that the SS should be set to their softest setting during the break in period. When I finally get around to installing I will set the front at 16 and the rear at 14

Justn... you are only at 98.9% today... is everything okay?

I dropped my 06 MT TL about 1.7 inches front and rear. I set the damping about half way and drove it around for a week. Then I adjusted the damping in the direction I thought would be better- Dont remember the final damping. But it was AWESOME once I found that sweet spot. Also a 24mm Progress RSB and 245/35/19" extreme summer tires. WOW WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE !!!!!!

After I lowered my manual 06 WDP TL with Tein SS coilovers, installed the Progress 24mm RSB, and put Yoko 245/35/19" S-Drive summer tires on it, I FREAKED OUT how awesome it handled for a FWD car. Best I have ever driven. BIG TIME

I have had the Tein SA on my TSX for like...3.5 years and about 60K miles. The SA is a big improvement over the SS.

Not the same car...but similar. They're still working without leaks. They're comfortably taken me from the Chicago burbs to NYC, Detroit, Ontario, and etc. After 3.5 midwest winters, they're still almost rust free; the threads are completely rust free.

I doubt you'll find a better overall system unless you spend quite a bit more $$. Tein recommends 36K mile service/replacement intervals BUT...I'm at 60K...and could probably make it to 75K before I replace them. That's awesome.

I feel they're a little worn out at this point. They work fantastic in warmer weather. But in cold weather, I have to choose between annoyingly crashy (stiff damper), or floaty (soft damper).

Complaints: The damper settings could be better. To get the car to settle, you'll need to use the stiffer settings. But on sharp bumps, they won't damp as well. But this is all minor...and you have to remember their cost.

The springs settle within about 5 seconds of rolling the car. Certainly by now.

Note that even the SS has replaced the SA, which has NOW been replaced by the SAZ!!! https://www.heeltoeauto.com/shock-sp...-9uss2-22.html
