Enkei RPF1 18" SBC Help.

I am in the market for some new wheels. What I currently have is a 07 TLS.
I want the wheels to be flush looking and I don't have to have to used spacer or where the wheels poke out. I also don't want he tiers to be stretch as well.

what size would be good to do that?

18x9 offset offset
or
18x8.5 +30 off set

You want 18 x 9.5 +40, but 18 x 9.5 +45 will work as well. Tire can be a 255/40 or a 265/35. I recommend the 265/35.

With a +40, if you're not dropped at all, you'll poke 5mm in front, but as soon as you drop it even a little it'll fit perfect.

If you're looking for a perfect solution with no drop, then choose 18 x 9 +40 with the 255/40 tire.

Here are pix of the 18 x 9.5 +40 with the 255/40 tire and no suspension mods whatsoever. The 255/40 is slightly taller, which makes the car appear to be dropped a bit, when it's actually not. It's also a smoother, softer ride than you'll get with the smaller sidewall tires.

As I said, this set-up will poke 5mm in the front, but NO ONE would notice. You'd really have to be looking for it. This is the very best size of wheel/tire combo for the car if you don't want to do any other mods (IMO). Look is fantastic, ride is fantastic, and the fit is damn near perfect. 18 x 9.5 +45 would have hit the nail right on the head, if you don't want to drop the car.

im not sure if it will work consider what your showing is a base model. Brembo Caplier is a little different then the base model one. Plus it different type of wheels.

usually anything bigger larger than a +35 will not clear the brembos and most +35 won't clear either (enkei raijin 18x8.5 +35 does however, others like avant garde and vmr with not clear with a +35)

the brembos make it super tough to find a good wheel that clears the brembos but is not too aggressive.

i just put in an order for tsw nurburgring wheels, which are 18x9 +32, i talked to a member that said this cleared his brembos.

point of the story is to do lots and lots of research on what other members have used for the wheel you're looking for. i spent about 3 months researching wheels and member setups to narrow it down to the one i just ordered. wheel and tire fitment is very tough with the brembos on our cars

For a Base, not at all. In fact, it's damn near perfect, requiring only a slight roll in the rear.

For a TL-S with Brembo's, I have no idea.

I've heard from the Subaru guys that the 18x9.5+27 nt03's don't play well with factory Brembos. The spoke design of those wheels is very flat, so you have limited clearance. Every car is different, so that might not apply to the TL, but hopefully a 5mm spacer will make everything fit if there's no space. If a 5mm spacer still won't give you enough caliper clearance, your only options are to go with a larger spacer + extended studs, or get a different wheel.

Basically, concavity come into play...some pretty weak offsets will clear if the face is not concave...once you start bowing the spokes inward, then can limit clearance on the brakes. Same with a lipped wheel...3" lip but weak offset might still run into trouble.

Then again, I hear harbor freight is running sales on angle grinders

Small spacers can solve a lot of issues but clearing brembo AND running a 265 rubber probably won't jive.

I think the NT's have 2 different styles though, one is more convex which I don't like the look of, but will probably have no problem with the brakes.

This. Probably one of the best companies to deal with in the wheel world. I think the 18x8.5 +30 is much more likely to clear as it has a convex face. On the other hand I think it looks rather fugly compared to the 18x9.5 +15 for example which is a fair bit more concave and DEFINITELY clears (confirmed by people on here). At the same token, 9.5 +15 is a very aggressive wheel spec - You should talk to shotta on here who runs RPF1s 9.5 +15 in the front and 10.5 +15 in the rear I believe.

Well, option 3 will save you at least $1000...

and it's Advan, brother...
Assuming Advance isn't some new version of it!

Also, the Advan RS are hard to find! You'll have to go RSII if you go new!

you should see if the 18x9/9.5 with flat face will fit. I personally find the 18x8/8.5 bubble versions don't look as good
