droppin it...
So I'm looking to drop my TL-S, but can't decide if I want to go H&R w/ Konis or Tein SS. From what I've read the basics w/o adjustability make the ride too harsh. I do want to maintain some level of civility in the ride for the ladies and friends. But, no doubt, a guy wants the performance. Anybody who's experienced these set ups wanna chime in, or if in SD maybe meet up and go for a spin? I'll buy you lunch, but its not a date,

Shoot, you made it seem like you were a female that was offended by what I said, so the idiomatic phrase "insert foot in mouth" seemed appropriate to describe the embarrassment of the situation.
Anyway, most people seem to like the SS w/ EDFC, but I want to ride in a car that has that set up so I can feel it for myself, cuz people have written how the Koni/H&R setup is solid too. that's the reason for the thread...

I've got the tein SS without the EDFC. Running on 235/35/19 rubber. When set on 16/16 (softest), I found it to be the best ride. If you use an 18" wheel, or if you stay on 17" rims, then you can afford to select a stiffer setting and still have a good ride. Mine is only slightly bumpy because I have almost no sidewall. If I had to do it again, I might consider the Koni/H&R setup, but only to see if there was a difference. I don't regret getting the teins. Once you drop the car, there's no way you will rock stock again, car looks great lowered. I would love to get the EDFC, but don't want to cut or remove my strut tower brace, and I personally hate running wires in a car - it's not fun to remove plastic panels etc...... If you do go with the teins, spend the extra money and get OEM top hats, so that your install is plug and play. Search for TEIN install and you'll understand. Good luck on whatever you choose.
