Does 205/60/16 = 225/50/16 ?

I was just told 205/60/16 = 225/50/16

I'm placing new Falken 512 on my TL 01 and I'm suggested to go with 225/50/16 instead on my OEM rims.

Is it better to go with 225/50/16 and would it fit perfectly?

Once again, appreciate your help -
Tony

The 225/50-16 is 3/4" shorter than stock. 225/55-16 is a better match to the stock rolling diameter and will fit fine on you stock 6.5" wheel.

I can get a pretty good deal on some 215/60/16 Falken Ziex ZE-326. I have a 2000 TL-P Will these work okay? ( By the way, I have the H&R OE sports)

I get:

235/45/17 = 25.33
225/50/16 = 24.80
225/55/16 = 25.74
205/60/16 = 25.69

So, yes, the diameters of 205/60/16 and 225/55/16 are almost identical.
