Question Does the 2005 TL have a tighter suspension?

It seems like my '05 (Navi) has a much stiffer ride and tighter suspension then the '04 that I test drove when placing my order. Did Honda tweak the suspension for the '05s and not tell anyone about it? Does Honda make it a practice to change things and not alert the dealer? For example, my dealer was clueless that they had changed the stiching on the front seats and also changed from Bridgestone to Michelin for the Navs until I told him (after picking up the car).

I don't think any of the suspension components were changed other the different tires. Don't forget the TL has a sport tuned suspension and it meant to feel the road. It does take a little time getting used to it, too. I don't know if it will get softer.

Not sure about the difference btwn 04 and 05. I didn't feel that way while test-driving 05 model. But, 3GTL is stiffer than 2GTL.

I suspect that manufacturers don't want to clutter marketing's brains with to much non-sales information. Sales might then say something stupid. Most people on this board probably know more about the product than most sales folks.

Most entry level line sales folks learn key sales points and perhaps a little human behavior. If they can move enough iron, they either get more training or promoted. We nerds on the other hand discuss features, colors, specs etc...etc...etc! For us it's passion, for them, just a job.

agree with MR1

Most sales people come here to learn what is being said about the cars and the comparisons. And let's face it when you go to buy the car some people love the styling and the power (if they are used to much less like a lot of buyers). Then in walks some of you... You have the specs all in your head. HP/Torque/performance times/mileage/characteristics/ tires/etc.

Some salespeople adjust to the customer pretty fast and some do not have a clue. The one I spoke to comes on here and goes and verifies the information.

Things like the 04 seat issue. etc.

My sales person when asked knew about any issues and what they have done to address them.. He was good in the sense that he sized up the fact that I knew the car and was able and ready to address any concerns I had about the model and potentially any issues...
