Do Springs Settle? Fact or Fiction?
I just installed the A-Spec M/T suspension on my 05 A/T this weekend and am wondering if the springs have a settling timeframe. From what I've read on numerous forums, no one can say for sure. In general I can't find anything that says "yes" springs have a settling/break in period where they will get lower after x amount of miles. Any thoughts?

doesn't make sense for brand new springs to get lower after a short period of time, maybe after 3-5 years and 60k miles, you'll probably see the car get lower 1/2 inch. if you see your car get lower only after a year, i'll would think you got low quality springs, and buy replacements cuz that will mess up your suspension.

Yes, they do settle in if they are brand new. I just recently installed Tokico blues and Tein S-techs, and after about a week or so, the car continued to get lower and lower.

I have lowered 3 cars now .. all on quality brand springs and they do settle a bit in the first ... thats also confirmes and recorded by pre/post and couple 100 miles later actual measurments. Thats why the recommend not aligning right away.
