Difference between 06 & 04-05

I've been looking around ebay for a-spec parts and noticed they sell in 04-05 packages and 06 packages, with the 06 being about 200-300 more. would 04-05 parts fit an 06? if not what's the difference? thanks in advance.

sorry if this has been answered already, but i did a serach and couldn't really find much.

The price difference in either the full A-Spec kit or the just the wheels is for the tire pressure monitor system. Not sure why these are included with these packages as if you have 2004 or 2005, you can't easily add it and if you have a 2006 you can reuse the original TPMS, I assume.

The sole difference is the wheels. They are outfitted to accept your TPMS sensors whereas the cheaper 04/05 kit comes with wheels that do not accept those units. The 06 wheels have always been more expensive than the previous years just because the the TPMS....and thats all. No other real difference.

OK, here is the deal with TPMS sensors. They will fit and can be mounted in an 05 a-spec wheel with no problems, my dealer did it for me. It may take more balancing expertise, but i was done to my car by the dealer, and the ride is perfect.

As far as reusing TPMS sensors, you are btter off buying another set. I bought a set of oem sensors on ebay for $80 and here is why:

Removal from you old wheels: Have to pay to dismount the tires and remove the sensors from them. This also takes the wheels out of balanced and would have to be rebalanced, with or without the sensors.

My approach, buy a set of sensors and you avoid paying to remove the sensors. I keep my stock wheels for winter and all i have to do it mount them on the car and go. if i had one set of sensors, you have to dismount two sets of wheels, remove the sensors, install the sensors and rebalance the wheels. Lots of aggrivation for something that costs less than $100.

These are the chrome look a-specs which are more expensive that the others...but this will answer all your questions....

Made by ENKEI for Acura.
Precision-cast aluminum.
5 split-spoke design.
These are the same design as the original A-Spec Rims.
Modern, high-gloss painted finish.
These are not the same color as the original A-Spec Rims.
This rim is a darker, highly reflective chrome!
High-tech look.
Specifications:
18" x 8" jj (not 8.5" like the original A-Spec TL Rims)
45 offset.
Each rims weighs 26.5 pounds by itself.
Uses the same Yokohama Tires as the old A-Spec Rims
These rims will also fit:
RSX - All
TSX - All
TL - 1999 - 2005
CL - 2001 - 2003
S2000 - All
Accord V6 - 1998 - 2005
What you Receive
4 18" rims.
4 center caps.
4 chrome center cap emblems.
4 valve stems with caps.
4 TPMS sensors.

So yes...you get new TPMS sensors when you buy em from this guy on ebay. I am sure that all of em come that way though? Somebody with an 06 that has upgraded can verify this for you...but from the look of it...they COME with new TPMS sensors.
