Cosmis Racing Wheels XT-005R
Apparently Cosmis wheels have been around but never in the US. They are now being distributed here but I have yet to hear and real world reviews or opinions on them from anyone other than the distributors.
One of their options in 5x114.3, the XT-005R, is interesting and reminds me of a hot-rod/muscle-car type wheel to the likes of Crager, Centerline, or maybe Intro. It's an all aluminum wheel. The simplicity of the spokes, machined spoke edges, and slant lip seems to modernize them a bit. These are available in White, Gold, or Gunmetal Machined with a Polished Lip (best in my opinion).
The company's website doesn't say much and these aren't even shown on there as an option in the US.

Their Facebook page seems like the place to go for info.

The distributor with the attached eBay listing claims they will clear the Brembos commonly used on imports but doesn't mention them fitting the TL Type-S explicitly.

What do you guys think of this option? 18x10 is pictured

Not a huge fan of that design, but I like the aggressive specs. I find it odd that they don't have any pictures of these wheels mounted on any cars in the photo gallery in their ebay auction. However, these wheels pictured in their gallery are sick...what are they?

Check out that eBay listing. Those are for a staggered setup, 18x9 +25 front & 18x10 +20 rear, that the seller says will clear Brembos but doesn't explicitly state if that includes the Type-S.

Just read on a Subie forum that these are made in Taiwan, and the rep claims they are not to be likened to Rota or XXR but better...whatever that means.
And here's a video of fitment on a STI and 240SX. I like it because it shows the lip on the 18x9 in gunmetal. All pictures I've found elsewhere online just show the 18x10.

LOL that video is ridiculous. You can't get any idea of how a wheel will look on a car when it's jacked up in the air and there isn't even a tire mounted on the wheel. Not to mention half the video was out of focus.
I think you should pursue the SR5's!!

I thin the SR5's are only offered in 17x9, and I'd like to go bigger...say 18's...and I've even considered some 19's.

That sucks, I'd run those SR5's in 18x9+22 all day long if they were available...

Wheels came out too shiny in that pic, almost machined/chrome-ish, but you get the gist of the styling.

IMHO, looks like somebody changed out the spoke design on these...
I guess it's the more flat spoke type of design that people may not drool over versus the Meister's more rounded appearance.
The quality is something I'm curious about. I see those Meisters and I know I'm getting WORK quality. I see these and I'm not sure what I'm getting.
Anybody ever have any experience with poor quality wheels? Brand? Cracked lip/barrels?
