Comptech RSB is on!

I got it about a week ago, finally got my lazy butt under the car, took some extra time to make sure it was exactly lined up side to side, and torqued the bolts to 40 ft lbs, wasn't sure on the spec, and 25 seemed too loose. Car is noticably tighter around turns, and I can come up to a turn tap the brakes and toss the car, and it hooks w/o plowing like it used to. I have a 6MT to go on the front as well, but it won't be on till tomorrow as it rained today.

Last night as I was finishing the install, it hailed like a bitch. Have about 4K worth of damage to my brand new car, I don't even have real plates yet.

Aw well, I wanted a RL anyways, just gives me a reason to save up.

I had thought about doing that, too, Comptech RSB and 6MT FSB...did you get the 6MT FSB at the dealer or somewhere else? How much?

When I was working on my A-Spec suspension I noticed that the front sway bar was going to be a BITCH to get in. Let us know how that goes.

No such thing as an A-Spec sway bar. The only sway bars available (from Acura, anyway) are the 5AT 17mm sway bar and the 6MT 20mm swaybar.

Good to know that A-Spec TL uses 6MT sway.

I am happy with my bar now. =)

Agreed, Acura does not switch out your sway bar in any of their A-Spec installations.

Again, the A-Spec TL does not include a sway bar. What you have on your car at time of purchase is what you will have when the A-Spec is installed. The only change made to the sway bar is one that you make yourself.

Fair enough - and yep, there is definitely a difference, although going from 6MT sway to the Comptech sway is subtle.

Yeah, I think this upgrade was just what I was looking for.

I had this sway bar in my room for about a month. Had it installed week ago. I just can't stop taking fast turns. =)

Careful there, cowbow... you'll wear out your outside edges of your tires a lot faster if you do that!

LMFAO! I went to put it on Thursday after noon...

Took the front driver wheel off, after I jacked up the car

Leaned into the wheel well to find out what up, see sway bar, see it is INVERSELY FUC-EN MOUNTED under the damn motor craddle! Fuc-en gay ass design. I try to figure out what the hell I am going to do, then I notice the rear bolts holding the sway bar on are mostly hidden by the lower firewall extension, so

Proceed to put wheel back on and call Acura dealer...

I am either going to try to return the bar and bushings, or, ask for some way to get it installed... This is NOT a do it your self job. The rear was CAKE, the front looks like dropping the motor down on a lift...

The 6MT bar is noticably larger, and it was about $90 bucks plus the bushings which were 15, which is about the same as the CT RSB... I will sell it to you if you want to play with your car more, I just don't fell like dropping the engine cradle in my driveway.
