Coilovers and camber help!
i am planning to buy a 3rd gen Tl before the summer. i wanted to know what is the best coil overs and camber that i could buy for this car also will i need to put in new shocks if i put in coil overs? i plan to tuck the wheel almost under the fender with negative camber. any good idea or option for what i am looking for?and how much it will cost?

get megan coilovers. no, you won't need new shocks if you put in coilovers because coilovers are a complete assembly. you'll take out your OEM shocks/springs and install coilovers. done. $800
camber kit...ingalls rear camber kit comes with 4 arms. 2 per side. 1 arm for TOE correction and one arm for CAMBER correction. $160
you probably won't need a front camber kit, unless you're running aggressive wheels...but they offer ingalls, spc, skunk2, and other eBay knock off brands. $price varies$
i suggest doing your homework and reading a lot of info on this site. everything you want to know is already out there. good luck to you.

Not sure about cambering kit but xlr8 is about to have a gb for his new coils. They will be 850 with free shipping. Check out his thread, the coils are soo nice.

I don't think he meant tire, he is talking about how aggressive of a stance you have but if you don't have aftermarket wheels or spacers on your stock wheels you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Lioneater, its really hard to give u the "best coilover" for our cars. This is why i didnt tell u straight to get *this* coilover..
It comes down to experience and history/review.

o.. i thought he meant i would a need a special type tire for the front,but thanks for clarifying still beginner to this stuff.
