Clicking sound while backing up with wheel turned all the way to the right
I have a 07 Accord V6 first of all, I think I can get more answers here. I have a strange clicking sound that has been happening for say over a year now. I can assure you first it is not the cv joint because both axles have been replaced last year with brand new sets, not rebuilds. The rack and pinion isn't leaking anywhere either. I have also inspected the outer tie rod ends, nice and stiff, no popping or major movement. I cannot find anything loose. The only thing I have not looked at is checking for inner tie rod play. When I back up my car and turn the wheel all the way to the left while moving, I get 2 or 3 consecutive clicking sound. I do not feel this in the steering wheel or the pedal.
- axles replaced
- sway bar end links replaced
- front upper passenger ball joint replaced a few years back
- lower ball joints have not been replaced
- compliance bushings not replaced with slight crack
No alignment issue, car tracks straight, no sound whatsoever while driving forward. No sound whatsoever while backing up with wheel turned all the way to the left (the other direction)
please advise, thanks!
