Thumbs up This is it! Can someone ID the size?

Hello. Looks like we found the perfect size rim for our new TL. This is not the brand of rim we will be getting, but it has the perfect offset and size that we are looking for. The rims on this car looks like Giovanni's. Can someone ID the size and offset? Maybe the owner frequents this forum too? Oh, and what kind of drop as well. Thank you!!

Ah! He posted a comment about his rims. But I am still missing the offset size which is very important to me.

I think the wheels are Giovanna Genoas: http://www.thewheelconnection.com/ph...&brandsearch=1

If those are 19's which they look like they are, it looks like they come in a 19X9 but I can't find the offset anywhere. I would suggest contacting Giovanna directly to get the proper fitment info or a catalogue: 1-(800)-307-8708 or giovanna@wtwcorp.com

Thanks for the tip. I emailed them to get the offset hopefully.

By the way, no wonder those tires looked thinner. They are on 9's. Another useful tip.

That's not to say that the person who owns the car in your pic has 19X9's, but that was the only fitment that the wheel connection showed for the 19's. Giovanna may have other variations of the same wheel, that is why it is best to check with the manufacturer first. You might also want to ask them if there is an authorized dealer near you so you can actually see the wheel and maybe consult them regarding fitment while you are there.

I called Giovanni since the Wheel Connection never picked up their phone and they said they only make 22's and 24's in the Genoa line. The lady wasnt helpful at all and kept putting me on hold so I gave up. Im waiting on an answer from the company who has that picture posted to find the exact offset those rims are posted.

ok.. i have more feedback by the dealer who sells them on that website.. He said he is pretty sure they are 38mm offset. He is going to make sure they are 9" though. He found the 38mm by looking up the inventory on his warehouse computer on the Genoa line.

ok.. I got another response from another guy at the website. This looks to be more accurate. I think the 35mm is right on and matches the 19x9 you stated JP.

"The wheel is 19x9 with a +35mm offset."

Invincible, check the 3g wheel fitment guide here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63320. If you decide that you want to drop your TL you might have a problem with rubbing. You might want to PM Lawaia if you have any doubts about fitment. Wheels are an expensive investment and you want to make sure that they will work down the road if you decide to lower your car

You might also want to check with this company to see if there are any other offsets that Giovanna offers.

JP,thank you. I have read this thread but wasnt sure how old it was in order to get accurate numbers. There are always people out there that will tell you something will not work, and with a few tricks here and there, it will. The good thing is that a 9" wheel will work as stated on that thread. And I do plan to drop it just like the picture above. My concern right now is the offset clearing the front brakes. I have seen others will the 35mm offset on here, but that was for the rear. I wonder if rotating them would have them fit in the front too?

Bro, I would definitely PM one of the mods (cTLgo, rets, Ron A, Xpditor, Lawaia, neuronbob, or provench) and ask their advice on this. I would hate for your to order a set of rims and find out that they won't work on your car because majority of wheel places will not accept returns especially if tires have been mounted on them

You know.. i can be safe and order the two back ones.. and once they come in, I can test them out in the front. If it doesnt fit, then i change the order to accomodate the offset (clear the brakes) or lower the width to 8" but with the same offset to make it look the same as the rear wheels. Too bad the person who owns the car above is not here to help me make a decision. Dont worry, I plan to make this work one way or another, but i wont be stuck out with rims that dont fit. I will continue doing my research.

A note on offsets...a 35 offset on one wheel might fit where a 35 offset on another might not...the difference is how the wheel is designed (shape, spokes, etc). I would contact Giovanna and find out what offsets they make. If a company, Street Dreams or Wheel Connection or whoever, sells the wheels, they can get whatever offset you need.

chill dog, just saw your RJ rims. You also have that nice lip I have always admired. What offset are your rims and do your brakes have enough clearance with the rim?

Right now I am aiming for 19x9 w/ 35mm offset. 245/35/19 Tires. I havent decided on the drop yet, but plan to research that part out too.

37 offset. Ron designed those specifically for the TL, so they fit perfectly - no clearance issues or rubbing. He's coming out with a new variation of those (3-piece), and his 1-piece version has a huge lip, too. And with RJ, you don't have to worry about anything...his stuff fits stock (AT or MT), BBK, no drop, slammed, etc.

I always thought 19x9 is the perfect fit for our TL. I still think 19x8.5 is ok and not wide enough since our OEM is already by 8. However, not many wheel manufacture make 19x9's but 19x8.5 or 19x9.5 which will be too wide if lowered. Anyone knows of any nice looking wheels that is 19x9's??
