Hello, i recently bought a 2005 acura tl with 60k miles. I noticed when i go around turns above 20 mph, the steering wheel gets funny. Basically it kind of shakes and turns a bit on its own. Theres nothing i can really do to control it. The previous owner had the rims cambered for about 40k miles. He had them realigned properly before selling. There are 2 new front tires. Is it possible that because the rims were cambered, that the rims could be bent in a weird way that could be affecting my cornering? Could getting new rims help my cornering so that the steering wheel isn't moving back and forth? Thanks in advance.

The best thing you can do is get an alignment. Even though the previous owner did one before selling, you could have recently hit a pothole or something that threw out the alignment specs.

Get a print out of the specs before and after and if the problem persists after that, it could be something mechanical, but I highly doubt it's the wheels. Maybe a ball joint, bushing, or UCA is starting to fail

^ i assume it means he had a cambered wheel setup for 40k miles.

shouldnt damage the rim though unless he hit some serious potholes, or had very low profile tires, like 35 series and below

Why start throwing parts into the car when you're not certain as to what it might be?
Get the car aligned and the tech will check the suspension to see what needs replacing.
