Buying new Toyo Proxes 4

This tire issue is starting to annoy me. I had my Yokohama AVS 100 for only 8 months, and they are like slicks now. It's a good thing I own a tire shop, because tires would be super expensive! After I get my tires installed i'm going to set up an appointment for Acura to fix it with an alignment, or at least try. Ever since I lowered it with comptech springs I was too lazy to get an alignment, and didn't think I needed it. Also I will complain about the butt prints on the leather, and of course that annoying rattle near the sub that makes noise at every volume level possible. They are also replacing my brake pads to "updated" ones. Other than that my car is running beautifully. Just felt like sharing my thoughts!

About Your Tires

What model do you have, MT or AT?

On another note, where did you get the info about updated pads...please let me know.

Thanks,

I have the 6spd. About the updated pads, when I brought my concerns about the squeaking brakes they said they will go ahead and replace them when they get the "updated pads". They really didn't explain much to me, but they said they are suppose to stop the brakes from creating so much dust. They said it's the dust that is making the squeaking problem. I haven't had my brakes replaced yet, but they said on my next oil change they should have them ready for me.

I had a set of Proxes 4 put on before the weather got bad here in the NE. I had the Bridgestone RE030 HPT tire option on the TL, and in the cold weather these tires were gripping poorly and would slip noticeably until warmed up. I needed to change them out for safety purposes. After driving around in the rain on many occasions lately with the new set of Proxes 4, I can say that these tires are the best I've had for inclement weather. Money well spent.

I spent like a week trying to do some research on tires before buying it. It's funny because my decision on buying the Proxes 4 was at the last minute. I was pretty close to buying the Yokohama Avid H4's because it had a fairly good rating on tirerack. I didn't like the sidewall much, and plus I heard lots of compliments about the toyo proxes 4.
