If the bubbles are in the sidewalls that may indicate a defective tire. Take them in and ask without the above story. Let them tell you why it happened. No, I don't think it is safe to drive around with a weak point on your tires, potential disaster.

It is a MAJOR safety issue... they could blow anytime... take them in and see what you can get as a replacement...

Does the rims show any dents??? If not, then you could say manufacture defect... if they are bent... you got a problem with that one..

1. I'd limp straight to the nearest dealer that sells your brand of tire (need not be an Acura dealer). The tires will blow - just a question of when.
2. There is likely visible inside sidewall damage that will tell what happened, even if you don't.

Those are likely not defective tires. NYC roads already bubbled 2 of my tires and thanks to a road hazard warranty, got them replaced super cheap. If I were you, I'd get yours replaced ASAP.

By having A-Spec here in NYC, you've opened yourself up to not only being more susceptable to damaged tires, but also in increased likelyhood of bottoming out due to the A-Spec suspension's lowering of the car....... the very reason I didn't get A-Spec. I've already met one A-Spec owner at my car wash completely fed up with bottoming out issues that already had to trash her 18" wheels and tires for the standard 17"ers.

As for getting the City of NY to pay......FUGHETTABOUTIT !!!

lol if you are bottoming out due to aspec suspension, you've got a problem with the way you are driving... it feels like im driving SUV coming from my old car...

even that low, i dont bottom out except drive way clearance.
i've had 19s, 18s... drove 80,000 miles in 3 years of NYC daily driving but never had a bubble on my tires except bent rims...

Same problem here, I hit a x-mas tree on the highway last December. Bubble on driver side front tire.

Dealer said sidewalls on these stock tires are very strong. I too felt uneasy but they have lasted until recently I had a friend of mine check the pressure. Sure enough the tire has a leak, no noticable rim damage at all. You could survive on those for a while but I would not take any corners too hard, check the pressure regularly. But, just as someone stated earlier should really have them replaced if you see the bubble changing shape dramaticly.

I posted earlier which tires I purchased...highly recommend: Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.

it happened to me with my 03 TL-s 17'' Michelin. i hit a pothole going 40-50mph & i got a lump the size of a golfball on the sidewall. my dad is changing his tires right now because i noticed a small one on his car that is starting to peel. he got his from costco, & the tires are 60% worn. so, he will get one new tire with 40% off the price. i had to spend 200 each for 2 new front tires.
