Brookstone Tire Pressure Gauge

Does anyone have one of these? : Tire Pressure Gauge

If so, how do you like it? Is it accurate?

My wife just got me one as an "early christmas present" and I want to know if it's worth keeping.

Any input would be appreciated.

As a present sure. The red, green, blue thing is kind of gimmicky but as a gift why not?

I would usually opt for a dial gauge with a 1 foot hose on it. I got one (oddly enough) at Brookstone's many years back and have been satisfied since. Basically this one with a 1 foot hose on it.

Yeah, I know the color thing is gimmicky (I think it's just their way of dumbing down checking your air pressure by using a visual reference)... I'm just hoping it's accurate and lasts.

I've had one of those $2 pen style ones since I was 16 and it's always been good to me. I guess I'll just compare the 2 and see how close they are.

BTW - I do like the gauge style one you have.

I got one last year from my parents (when I auto-x'd my s2000) and didnt like using it....too fussy. It now sits in my closet.

Its nice, but too much hassle to just check the tire pressures!

Thanks. In what way is it fussy? Is it the preset pressure setting? or just how it mounts the stem?

For me the bigger issue is if it reads correctly. The other stuff is fluff. But it looks like a nice tire pressure gauge.
