Blizzak vs. Pilot Alpin

Ok, nobody wanted to answer this in my other thread "Bubble" so I am just guessing that no one was reading that thread

I have the Michelin Pilot Alpin's and one of them developed a bubble on the sidewall. I am told that this tire in my size is sold out across Canada so the dealer is willing to swap all 4 of my Pilot Alpin's for Blizzak LM-22's in the same size.

Does this sound like a good deal or should I just wait for a replacement from Michelin USA?

Thanks

Bryan

Definately go for the trade. I'm assuming you bought the tires for snow and ice, check the test results at the Tire Rack. On dry roads the Michilins are better but when there is snow or ice there's no comparison. I have the Blizzak MZ-01's and they handle great when the roads are icy.

tires

I would definitly recommend you go for the trade, but i would try to get the mz-01's, they don't have the dry grip like the lm's but they are awsome on snow and ice, heres a link to see how they look on a tl

never mind Michelin is sending me a new tire from th US. I couldn't stand the service I was getting from my dealer so I just called them myself. They said the tire will be here no later than Monday so I am driving around with my spare on It just pissed me off how the dealer said they tried everything they could to find me a set of tires, they couldn't get the Bridgestone's for another two weeks either, then me the insignificant little consumer e-mails Michelin and before I even call them, they had already tracked a tire down and sent one to me. I was sure to give them the dealer's name...

Anyone ever see a VERY dirty TL-S with a spare tire on? Not a pretty sight. Couldn't they at least have given us a full size spare??

Take a look here:
